Installation guide

Coldstream FTO Plus filters have been designed for easy installation, with no need for tools nor power for setup, making them ideal for off-grid or emergency situations.

To install your filters, follow these steps:

1. Separate the upper and lower chambers of your stainless steel gravity system.
   If you are replacing filters, unscrew the old filters from the upper chamber to remove them.
   Wash down the two chambers of your canister.
2. Clean off your FTO Plus filters by running them under cold water for about two minutes each and gently scrubbing them. Do not use soap or chemicals.
3. After the filters are dry, fit the black rubber washer included in your kit at the base of your filter.
4. Place each filter inside the upper chamber and slip on the washer included in the kit.
   
5. Insert the nut included in the kit and tighten it into the stem in order to secure them in place.
   
   
6. Repeat this operation for both filters.
   
7. Connect the two chambers, pour water into the upper chamber, and allow it to filter through. Run a few water cycles (at least two) through the filters to start them off.
8. Dispose of the water filtered through to the lower chamber after those first water cycles and fill the upper chamber again and wait for it to sift through.
   You can now enjoy your filtered water.
