Description
The Black Berkey Wingnut is used to secure the Black Berkey purification element to the Berkey system tank and crush the black priming button inside the tank so that water cannot pass from the upper tank to the lower tank without being filtered.
Each set of Black Berkey elements comes with an ar filter wingnut. If the wingnut is damaged or no longer holds the element in place to ensure a tight seal between the filter and the bottom of the tank, additional wingnuts may be available.
These wingnuts are sold in pairs.
The finned wingnut is only used with Black Berkey purification elements. It must be used in combination with the Black Berkey sealing washer.
