Water passes through ultra-fine pores (around 1.25 microns) that physically block particles like sediment, dirt, and impurities.

No. The ÖKO bottle does not remove naturally dissolved minerals and trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. It filters unwanted contaminants while allowing these beneficial dissolved minerals to remain in the water.
The ÖKO bottle is made from a custom grade of food-safe polypropylene (PP5) that is BPA-free, phthalate-free, toxin-free, and fully compliant with food safety standards and will not leach. It is also durable, recyclable, and flexible enough to be squeezed, which is essential for pushing water through the filter. Glass is too fragile, and stainless steel is too rigid for this type of bottle.

Fill the bottle with water, screw the cap on, pull up the nozzle, and squeeze gently as you drink. The pressure pushes water through the filter and out through the mouthpiece, so you get filtered water right away with no pumping or waiting.
Yes, you can use the bottle to hold fruit juice or another beverage, but you must remove the filter first. The filter is designed for fresh water only and should not be used with juice, sugary drinks, or any other liquid.

As a general rule, replace the ÖKO Advanced Filtration Bottle filter after about 378 liters (100 gallons) when used with clear tap water or other low-sediment water. If you are filtering river, lake, or dirtier water, the filter may need to be replaced sooner.
If you won’t be using the filter for several weeks or months, let it dry fully, then store it in a dry place away from light. Before using it again, run about 1 liter of water through it to reactivate the filter and flush out any dust from storage.
No. The filter does not have a set expiration date. It can be used as long as it has not exceeded the recommended filtration capacity for the type of water being filtered.
Yes. You can bring it empty through airport security and fill it afterward. To help prevent leaking during the flight, keep the bottle less than full and leave the nozzle open, since cabin pressure can cause water to escape.
Yes. The ÖKO filtration bottle is a practical option for travel and can help reduce the need to buy bottled water in places with questionable water quality. For more demanding conditions, the Level 3 filter may be a better choice.
