The foundation of all good water
Purification is the starting point for Living Water. Before water can support the body effectively, it needs to be clean and free from unwanted substances.
High-quality purification focuses on reducing a broad range of potential contaminants and pollutants, such as:
- Chlorine and disinfection by-products
- Heavy metals
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Volatile organic compounds and PFAS
- Pharmaceuticals
- Bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms
Purification matters because we consume water every day, and reducing potentially harmful substances helps limit chronic exposure — while also improving taste, odor, and overall water quality.
However, purification alone does not define Living Water.
It’s also important to distinguish between different approaches:
- Purification aims to remove unwanted substances while preserving water’s integrity
- Sterilization focuses on killing microorganisms, often using chlorine or UV
- Stripping removes nearly everything, including naturally occurring minerals (such as reverse osmosis)
Living Water starts with purification — but avoids stripping water of everything that gives it balance and character.
